Kid Made - Valentine's or Valentine Decorations

These are some easy homemade Valentine's my children I and made. I thought you could also use them as decorations. I thought these would be good ideas to share for the Winter Bazaar over at Scribbit's and Works for Me Wednesday over at Rocks in my Dryer. They both have great ideas.

Today we decided to make Valentine Decorations. All you need is construction paper, scissors,a glue stick, markers and wiggley eye (optional). I also use a cookie cutter for a stencil but most of the times hearts are pretty easy to cut out.
For the direction to all these project and other Valentine Crafts you can go to DLTK's website.
These projects are all made from different sized hearts cut out of construction paper.

The Bunny

"Some Bunny Loves You"

The Kissing Fish

The Snake and the Caterpillar

"I am going buggy over you"
or
"You've inched your way into my heart"

The Love Chick

and

The Butterfly

This one is my favorite. We took the extra heart and used them as leaves. Then we wrote down all the things we loved on the heart leaves.

I thought you could hang these around the house as decorations or write messages on them for Valentines.

Those look like so much fun! I enjoy doing crafts with my kids too.... my mom used to do crafts with us when we were kids and those are some of my fondest memories (spending time with my mom and siblings making things)

Where were you when my kids were younger? You are such an inspiration.
Is that a blankie or a cape on the little princess next to Spidey?
Smiles!

I love the ideas. I am going to use them!!! We do the fish one in preschool, but I am going to do the other ones at home. My kids will love that! I may even give some to my husband! Thanks for the game ideas too. I used it today in school and it was a hit!

That is SUCH a good idea!! I love the tree one the best I think...however since my son only says about 5 words so far we might have to wait until next year to do that one. :)

Those are some seriously awesome craft ideas! I think I might just be inspired to break out the construction paper and make some decorations!

Thanks for visiting -- I can't wait until spring either, unfortunately that shot was taken in the dead of January while it was FREEZING outside. Sigh...I guess there are a few more weeks to wait for that springtime weather...

When my oldest was a Brownie Girl Scout...the GS office had a Valentine contest 5 cat. ....my daughter 3 of the 5 of the catgories. She was so excited. After that year the GS office never did the contest again. :) hee hee!

These are awesome crafts! Too cute!
I'm quite sure your kids are not missing anything by not going to pre-school. If anything, they'll be ahead!

Thanks for sharing!

I love all your ideas. I think we may do the tree one with Madison and Miller and hang it up. I enjoy crafts so much. We did the bird feeders in pine cones and peanut butter today and hung them out back....it is alot of fun to watch the birds being fed in the cold cold winter.
