All you need is black construction paper, scissors, tape and I used white paper for my template.
I drew a bat on a piece of white paper and cut it out for a template.
Traced my template on a black piece of paper, folded my paper.
And cut out 8 bats at once.
Taped them to the inside of a lamp shade.
And now I have an amazing Halloween lamp.

VERY clever. I love this craft. Seriously, I could leave these up all year given I'm always going batty!
And hey, I'm starting my (as in YOURS) leaf project today.
Peter is going to LOVE this!
This is great! Easy, quick and inexpensive! Thanks for all your ideas!

oh my gosh, I SO HAVE TO MAKE THESE! or atleast have my 12 year old do the work. hee hee
I have a Halloween tree, too! My husband thinks I'm nuts also, so it mast be attached to the Y chromosome.:-)
My sil cuts bats out of old x-rays to hang on her sliding doors and it looks awesome...this idea reminded me of that.
I've been thinking of doing something similar but I like how your idea is less permanent than what I was thinking of using. (vinyl) I've got bats all over some of my walls!
Your crafts get my kids so excited. Thanks for all the amazing and doable ideas!
Oh, that is too cute! If I had a lamp somewhere in my house, I would most definitely do that!
toooooooooooooooooooo cute! We'll be doing this. :)
I LOVE this idea!!! Funny as we just made your handprint bats last night and I named my post something similar to this one. I'm gonna do these bats tomorrow for sure! What a great idea! I may do pumpkins as well and see how it looks or maybe even ghosts! THANKS!
What a GREAT idea!! And this is totally something that non-creative I can do!! Thanks!
My mom just sent me the Martha Stewart brand jack-o-lantern hole punch- I punched out a bunch of them and used glue dots to stick it on the inside of my lampshade. Cute! (I do hope the adhesive comes off the shade though!)
Excellent..! This is really an inexpensive way to turn our lamp into a Halloween decoration.
That's a simple way to make a great decoration. I wish I had a lamp like that to try it on.
