Here is our final project in our Summer Pond. Colton made a frog, the frog's life cycle and a lily flower.
Lily-We used construction paper, scissors and coffee filter .
Frog- Paper plate, green paint, stapler, glue, construction paper and wiggly eyes.
Life Cycle- Worksheet
Colton colored the life cycle and and cut it out. He glued it to green construction paper cut like a lily pad.
To make the lily flower, keep folding the coffee filter in half until it is about 1/2 inch wide. Cut a triangle tip on the end. Then open up.
To make the frog:
1. Paint paper plate green. Allow to dry.
2. Cut out tongue and legs.
3. Fold late in half and staple around edge. I added the tongue while stapling.
4. Glue on legs and eyes.

We have frogs in the pond in our garden and sunnyboy is really interested in all things frogs! He would love this activity, thanks :)

This is such a fabulous idea! We have a nearby nature center that does activities for kids centered around pond life, and this would be a great activity to incorporate with that. Thanks!
