The last few days I have been working on my classroom. I love having a room to decorate.

Here is our reading tent. It is made with curtains, ribbons and a hula hoop. The kids love it.

The Dollar Tree had some nice and easy bulletin board pieces. It was a lot simpler than my
boards I did last year.

This bulletin board is not finished. I am going to add pictures of the kids and their families. The kids love seeing family pictures in the room.

Simple shapes cut from construction paper.

I am so excited about this year, I know it is going to be great fun.

What a great room!
I love your room. I am getting my teaching license and already run a daycare/preschool. Your post just makes me excited for being in an elementary school setting and putting together my classroom! Thanks for the inspiration!

That was always my favorite thing to do at the start of a new preschool year! They look great!
I love your reading corner, that tent looks like a fun place to read.
Your room looks great...getting ready for the first day of school was always my favorite!!
Love that reading tent!

I love seeing Jesus taught in the classroom. Good job on the room. Staci
Everything looks so bright and cheerful! I love the reading tent - we're getting one of those (except not as cool as yours) for our book nook. Here's to another great preschool year!
Love the reading tent. That is so cool!
I love that you're decorating with music, but please consider turning the notes and treble clef on the left side of your board to face the correct way. I know you did it to be symmetrical, but notes just do not ever face that way in music. It would be the same as putting up the alphabet backwards on one side. I hope I do not sound rude here, just a slightly neurotic music teacher.
Your room does look excellent, though!
Thank you for sharing your ideas. I am about to start teaching 3 year old preschool at our church and was in the middle of setting up my room when I saw your post. I love the reading tent idea. I made one for my room and I think it will work perfectly.
