Today at preschool today we read "The Hat" by Jan Brett.
On Jan Brett website site you can get these great printouts to make puppets.
We cut paper plates in half and glued on brown spikes from brown construction paper. Glued on an eye and a pom-pom for a nose.
The kids loved making these.
I have another project to go along with this book. I will try to post it on Thursday.

I LOVE Jan Brett. Love the hedgehog too!
What great ideas!
Cute idea! You don't see many people doing much with the Jan B. book series besides reading them, and usually it's "The Mitten."
Coincidental enough WE read "The Hat" today too! Although we didn't do any fun projects - hmmm...
Jan Brett books are so fun to read and they do lead to so many cute ideas for the classroom. I love your hedgehogs!
