Sea Shell Angels

My kids made these great angels today.

They are made from: sea shells, ribbon, large pearl bead, plastic gold ring (used for wedding decorations)and glue.

I think they turned out beautiful and a great craft for those sea shells we bring home from the beach.

My kid's swim team won the county championship. Way to go Ducks!!!!!!!





And Beth and I ran our second 5K. I now love running 5ks.

Ribbon Bracelets-Repost

We have been so busy, this is our last week of swim team, maybe there will be sometime to get back to crafting with the kids. I love this simple project, so I thought I would repost it.

Cheyanne and I made these simple bracelets today. While we were making these I thought, they would make a good project for birthday parties.

We used: Buttons, ribbon, scissors and craft glue.

Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to go around the wrist and tie a knot.

Pick out the buttons you would like to use, and glue them on to the ribbon.

Allow the glue to dry.

Chick-Fil-A Customer Appreciation Day Year 3

Once again it is Customer Appreciation Day for Chick-Fil-A. If you dress up like a cow you get free food. Yummy food. I LOVE THIS DAY!!!!!

This will be our 3rd year, Year 1, Year 2.

If you mention this day to my kids any other part of the year they will tell you how horrible and embarrassing it is and "I am not doing it this year." But when I say let make our cow customs, they always do it happily. And they are more than happy to go to Chick-Fil-A tomorrow.

And besides it will give them one more story to tell their therapist when they get older and tell them how bad their childhood was. "My mom use to make me dress up like a cow and beg for food."

A Sparkling Drink for Kids

My kids love mixing drinks to make different concoctions, here is one that will taste good.

Fill a cup with crushed ice.

Then fill the cup half way with any flavored Hawaiian Punch or Kool-Aid.

Next fill the rest of the cup with lemon-lime soda.

Add a straw and enjoy your refreshing drink.
