Cheyanne and I made his great necklace. Each color has a special meaning. of Christmas. I thought this would not only make a great to do at home craft, but also a good one for Sunday school or children's church. I will be doing this with my pre-school class. It would also make a great bracelet. All you need is some kind of string for the necklace and beads. The Colors of Christmas Green - is for the Christmas tree that lights our holiday joyfully. Red- is for the special love we feel for those we are thinking of. Yellow - is for the Christmas star that guided the wise men from afar. Blue- if for the mother's joy when gazing upon her baby boy. This is the easiest craft I have done, and it still turned out very cute. To make this all you need: red and white chenille stems and a small ribbon. Twist the chenille sticks. Since they are longer than a real candy cane, I cut off about 2 inches. Bend into the shape of a candy cane. Tie a ribbon around them. It makes for a cute ornament or present topper. The hard candy was shaped like a "J" to represent Jesus' name. The color white stands for the pureness of Jesus. The color red represents the blood Jesus shed for us.

I posted this cookie last year but it is so cute and easy, I thought I would share it again. This is a cookie I like to make for my kids- It is 2 striped cookies, cordial cherry and a candy corn held together by chocolate frosting. They are cute on the table and they taste good too.

I am helping out with my son's kindergarten party. Since the teacher asked for some fun educational projects this is what one of the things we will be doing. I used construction paper, stapler, glue, scissor, marker and this turkey print out . I cut out the turkeys and drew a # on them. Then I cut out the feathers. I also folded the construction paper to make a small booklet and stapled the top. The kids will need to color and glue on the turkey. They also need to glue on the corresponding amount of feathers.

The girls and I had a lot of fun making these Native American pictures. We used: construction paper, markers, scissors, glue, feather (optional, you can cut your own out of paper) and some Indian symbols. I cut out the canoe, circles for their faces , brown strips for their headbands and black strips for their hair. The girls drew Indian symbols on the canoes and drew on their faces. Then we glued on the canoes and Indians. The girls decorates the head bands and glue on the feathers. Then we decorated the backgrounds.

I Love, Love this craft. Cheyanne's pre-school class did a project similar to this. I added a few of my personal touches and this is what we came up with. It looks like a lot, but it really did not take that long. I was surprised. This will look great on any table for a center piece. We used: a real serving plate (you could purchase a Chinette one), green construction paper, tissue paper(green, red and yellow) and/ or crepe paper, 3 paper lunch bags, masking tape, brown and red paint, paint brush, orange and green play dough, green pipe stem cleaner, cotton balls, newspaper, stapler, uncooked noodles, and glue. I also used a glue gun. Stuff one bag with newspaper (about 3 pieces). Fold over the opening and staple closed. This is the turkey's body. Stuff the other 2 bags with about 2 pieces of newspaper. Shape into a ball and tape closed. Cut off a few inches off the top of the bag, to look like the turkey's leg. I hot glued the legs on to the body. Paint the turkey wit...

Here is another paper plate turkey wreath or door knob hanger. We used paper plate, brown paint, brush, glue, scissors construction paper, and wiggly eyes. Cut the center out of the plate and paint the ring brown. Allow to dry. Cut out the turkey's head and face pieces. Glue on pieces of the face. Cut out the feathers and the wings. Glue on feathers, wings and head. Gobble, Gobble !!!!!!

Cheyanne and I made the Mayflower ship today. We used construction paper, scissors, 3 Popsicle sticks and glue. I pre-cut waves, the ship, sails and a fish. She glued on the rough waves. Then glued on the ship and fish. Finally the Popsicle sticks and sails.
