Mother's Day Flowers

Image
I made these flowers for myself for Mother's Day. I traced my kid's hands on a piece of craft foam and glued them to pipe stem cleaners. This flower was made with pipe stem cleaners and I put a picture in the center.

Mother's Day Present

In preschool we made these great picture frames for their Mom's for Mother's Day. I took a picture of each child holding a sign saying, "I Love You Mom !" Then they decorated a CD case with foam sitckers. I love the way they turned out. We also decorated the word MOM with different colored pieces of tissue paper.

A Berry Sweet Mother's Day Card

Image
I love strawberries and I thought this would make a great card for Mother's Day. We used paint (red and green), brush, paper and markers. Paint the child's hand red. Then print on the paper. Paint one finger green and make leaves. Allow to dry. Dot with black markers to make seeds. Or paint a finger black and use fingerprint to make the seeds. Write a message, we used," My Mom is the Berry Best !"

Super Cute Mother's Day Present

Image
I just loved how this craft turned out. I think it is so cute and can be made in so many different ways. I think this is a perfect gift a child can make for Mother's Day! We used: 1 or 2 Slim Jewel cases (CD cases), ribbon, scissors, craft glue, 4x6 picture, packaging tape and anything to decorate the frames with such as craft flowers, buttons, etc. 1. Cut 4 pieces of ribbon 5 inches long. Dab glue in each corner on the inside of the lid . (not where the disc goes) Slide the ribbon under the tabs in the case. You could also place the ribbon on the outside for a different look. You could finish here and make a standing picture frame. We decorated ours with flowers. Here is one with button. I also think finger prints would look cute too. To make hanging picture frame decorate the second jewel case. Then cut 2 pieces of ribbon and tape evenly spaced between the 2 cases. Then cut a third piece of ribbon for the hanger and tape on the top jewel case.

Valentine's Flower

Here are some sweet flowers are a lot cheaper than roses and they won't die. But best of all they are made with love. Cheyanne and I used: Construction paper, scissors, glue and a chenille stem. (I also used a stapler to reinforce the flower.) Cut the paper into strips about an inch thick. I used 4 strips of paper. Glue together an "X" with 2 strips. Make another "X" and glue it on top making a star shape. Then cut the strips in half up to the center. Place glue on the tips and fold over to the center. Fold all strips over to form a flower. You may want to add a staple to hold it all down. Glue a circle in the middle. Add a chenille stem to make a hanger.

Mother's Day Poems and Wreaths

Image
We used paper plate, glue, construction paper, paint brush, and paint to make the wreath . Here are some Mother's Day Poems I found: Every day I am exploring, touching everything I've found. I leave behind my little marks and hand prints all around. You clean up those hand prints but someday when I’m grown you’ll wish you had just one hand print to keep for your own. I made this hand print for you so that one day when I am tall you’ll remember what my hand looked like long ago when I was small. Second Poem: I made this hand print for you So that one day when I am tall You'll remember what my hand looked like long ago when I was small. Also, if any of you ever make the crafts shown on my blog I would love to hear about it.
