Ramblings of a Crazy Woman

Caity has been making these Paracord bracelets to make some extra money this summer. She has done really well. She has been selling them at the football field during the boys practices. The directions to make them are on You Tube. With some of the $ she has made she bought a pair of feather earrings. Well while wearing them less than 2 minutes, the feather fell out. I told her not to worry, we would fix it. While getting the glue gun out to fix the earring I saw some feathers in my craft closet. I decided to make some of our own. We used craft feathers, glue gun, small jewels, scissors. For the earring wire, we had another kit to make earring with beads and we just hot glued the feathers on to the wire. You can reinforce that with fishing line or ribbon tied around it. These I made for me because the boys football team's color is black and yellow.

Caity saw these bracelets in a Justice catalog and said how much she liked them. Of course being the crafty and cheap (more of the second one),I said, "We can make those." So after Dad drank a beer, we scooped up his bottle cap and got to work. There are so many different supplies you could use to make these, but this is what we used: Bottle cap, glue stick, glue gun, large elastic pony tail holders and a small picture from a magazine or catalog. We traced the bottle cap circle around a picture and cut it out. Used the glue stick to glue the picture in the cap. Then hot glued the pony tail holders to the back of the bottle cap.
