These are very cute love bugs if you ask me, and yummy too. Ingredients: 3 Hostess sno balls 2 Twizzlers 2 mini M&M Dab of white icing Direction: 1. Line up the Sno Balls end to end on a serving plate. 2. Cut Twizzlers into six two-inch pieces (some will be left over) and insert two into each Sno- Ball for legs. 3. Insert lollipops into the top of the "head" for antennae. 4. Use icing to secure M&M's for eye. Then my kids started playing with it and turn it into this: And this:

Sorry for the bad title, I just could not help myself. The girls and I made these pretty, easy and yummy cakes for Valentine's Day. I think they would be good for a girl's birthday party or tea party too. We used: Red Velvet Cake, Cream Cheese Icing, and a cookie cutter. Bake the cake according to directions in a bar pan. Use the cookie cutter to cut out heart shape. Cut the hearts in half and place icing in between the top and bottom. Then pipe icing around the edges of the top. We just used a sandwich bag with one the bottom corners cut off (just cut a small opening). Or you can dust the top with powdered sugar. Happy Valentine's Day !!!!!!

Here is a super easy craft that is great for at home, school, any holiday or at a birthday party. All you need is sticker foam pieces and yarn or string. You can also use button, sticky gems and glue. Just remove backing from foam piece, place string in the middle of it and then place another foam piece right on top.

I saw this butterfly here and I modified it to this for my preschool class. We used: a clothes pin, heart shaped dollies, glue and stickers. Decorate the dollies with stickers and markers, if you like. Draw a face on to the clothes pins. Next glue on the hearts as wings.

These may not be the prettiest Valentine's, but Cheyanne had a lot of fun making them. We used: Paint, brushes, paper,craft stick and foam sheets cut into heart shapes. Cheyanne painted the foam hearts. Then took the craft stick and swirled the paint. Then she pressed the foam heart on to the paper. Really hard, as you can see.

Here are some sweet flowers are a lot cheaper than roses and they won't die. But best of all they are made with love. Cheyanne and I used: Construction paper, scissors, glue and a chenille stem. (I also used a stapler to reinforce the flower.) Cut the paper into strips about an inch thick. I used 4 strips of paper. Glue together an "X" with 2 strips. Make another "X" and glue it on top making a star shape. Then cut the strips in half up to the center. Place glue on the tips and fold over to the center. Fold all strips over to form a flower. You may want to add a staple to hold it all down. Glue a circle in the middle. Add a chenille stem to make a hanger.

Cheyanne and I made these Valentine baskets today. I thought they would be a good way to deliver candy (like Hersey Kisses). As if there was a bad way to deliver candy. These baskets were made from a 2 liter bottle and a 16 oz bottle. We used: Plastic beverage bottles (2 L and 16 oz), crepe paper cut in 1x1in. squares (tissue paper works well too), glue, paint brush, glitter, scissors, hole punch and chenille stems. First, cut the bottle in half with the scissors. With the bottom half of the bottle, squirt on the glue and spread it all over with a paint brush. You may want to do this in sections. Apply the crepe (or tissue paper) on to the glue. You may need to paint over some pieces of tissue paper with glue to keep the edges down. We sprinkled on glitter, then decorated with hearts. I took the hole punch and punched holes across from each other on the bottle. And attached the chenille stem cleaner to make a handle. They look cuter than the picture shows.
