Ramblings of a Crazy Woman

Today we had our County Swim Meet, we are very lucky to have an awesome team with great kids, parents and coaches. We won our fourth title in 4 years . Colton and Chey made our local paper: Emma Cagle was dominant as usual in the 7-8 girls events, posting wins in the 50 free, 25 butterfly and 100 IM. She teamed with Cheyanne Waller , Peyton Prevette and Sarah Cotell to win the 7-8 girls 100 free relay; Cotell won the 25 back, Waller won the 25 breast stroke, and Cotell, Waller , Cagle and Rose Cable teamed up to win the 7-8 medley relay. “We have a really good group of younger kids,” Greene beamed. “I just wanted them all to swim their best.” The wins weren't limited to the 7-8 girls group for the Ducks. Thomas Cable, Tucker Queen, Peter Cotell and David Hartsell won the 9-10 boys 100 free relay; Gilly Hinkle won the 9-10 girls 50 free; Gracin Hill won the 6-under girls 25 back; Emily Conrad won the 9-10 girls 25 back and 25 breast stroke; Colton Waller won the 9-10 b...

                                    This is the 6th year my kids have participated in Cow Appreciation Day at Chik-Fil_A.  Because I have to work, I will not be able to go :(    But luckily Auntie Beth is going to take them :)  This year the girls went with some color.   For Previous years go here.

 How I LOVE swim team !!! My kids love it, I love it, so much fun. I put my nails back on, I thought I would post some of my nail art. These are very simple designs.

This is my first Sunday linking to What I wore Sunday over @ Fine Linen and Purple . I normally wear scrubs  through out the week, so dressing up for church is always interesting.  I love this top, I got it at Kolh's, this color always makes me think of the beach. The pants, I probably got a Goodwill but do not tell anyone at church where I got them. The silver flip flops, I have had forever and like them but I never wear them because they hurt my feet.  My nail, I finally put my nails back on. I did them myself. Since I use to do nails when I was in college, I just can not bring myself to pay someone to do them :-)

 I am teaching myself to sew (a very slow process). I thought this would be an easy project to start with and it was. I ended up making 4 of these. My kids love the idea. They spend a lot of time at the pool in the summer. These are great for laying on during pool breaks. I am not good at explaining  what I did, so I hope the pictures are good enough.  I made the pillow first. I cut the bottom of the towel to make the handles.  This is the back side of the towel.  All rolled up and ready to go !
