Apple Printing Apple Tree

Image
Here is yet another Apple Craft, can you tell I like apples. This is a fun craft Cheyanne did, making an apple tree with apple printing. You will need: construction paper, brown, red and green paint, paint brush, apple, knife and a craft stick. Cut an apple in half. Stick a craft stick on the back side for easy gripping. Make a trunk for the tree, we used a foot print. Paint the apple and stamp the paper for the tree top. Use green for the leaves and red for the apples. Decorate the rest of the picture. Cheyanne drew grass and a Jack-O-Lateran.

Another Apple Tree Craft

This is such an easy apple tree project. Cheyanne love doing it because it involved painting and finger printing. We used: A paper plate, water colors and paint brush, red paint and scissors. Cut the side out of the paper plate to look like a tree. Paint the trunk brown and the top of the tree green. Next dip your finger into the red paint and dot the top of the plate to make the apples.

Jesse Tree

I am super excited about this project. It is a large project for me, but I think it is worth it. I am really trying to find ways to put Christ as the center of our Christmas, not presents and Santa Claus. I am also excited because this is something I can hold on to and do every year. Because this is on the large side I will break it down into several blog posts. The Jesse Tree can be done in so many ways, some super simple and some super complicated. There are many different resources out there for you to do it how you would like. HISTORY If you have never heard of a Jesse Tree (I got my info here and here ) : Jesse was the father of the great King David of the Old Testament. He is often looked upon as the first person in the genealogy of Jesus. The Jesse Tree dates back to the middle ages and came from Europe. Even some ancient cathedrals have Jesse Tree designs in their stained glass windows. The "tree" is usually a branch or sapling and is decorated with various sy...

We are continuing with our apple crafts. The 2 we did today that have cute poems to go along with them. The first craft we did, we used: Paper, red paint, brown paint, green paint and a paint brush. I painted Cheyanne's palm and stamped it on the paper twice. Then we made a leaf and a stem with Chey's finger prints. Finger Print Apples The next project we used: paper, ink pad and markers. The girls stamped their fingers to make the apples. They then added stems and leaves with the markers. A cute poem to go along with this is: These are special apples Hanging on this tree. I made them with my fingers prints They are a part of me. During this week we are also going to use a juicer to juice Red, Yellow and Green apples to see how they taste different.

"A" for Apple Tree

I know everyone has done "A" for apple, but apple printing is so much fun. We used: construction paper, an apple, red paint, glue, scissors and a knife. I cut out the letter "A" from green construction paper. Cheyanne printed with half of an apple. I cut out a truck and Cheyanne glued it to the "A". Of course we had to keep printing with the apple.

Finger and Foot Print Apple Tree

Image
I saw this at a friend's house, she had it on a plate and I thought it was soooooo cute. You will need: construction paper or card stock, paint, and paint a paint brush. Lightly paint you child's foot. This will tickle, my kids love it. Make a foot print. The toes are the roots. Let them make finger prints as leaves. You may want to make a border with your fingerprint, so they know where to put the leaves. After the green leaves, add a few red apples. This may also make a cute Mother's Day card.
