Cheyanne and her friend made these Christmas Trees from a soda bottle. We used: 2 liter bottles, pom-poms, scissors, green paint,ribbon, craft glue, a yellow construction paper star and gold glitter glue. We put the paint in the bottle and shook it until the bottle was completely green. We glued on ribbon and pom-poms. Decorated the star with glitter glue. and glued on the star.

This advent chain is some thing we do every year at Christmas. My kids love ripping a link off everyday until Christmas comes. This year I added a great poem that reminds us the true reason for Christmas. We used: Construction paper, scissors, pen and a stapler. I cut out a star for the top and 24 paper strips. Colton made a 24 link chain. Here is the poem I placed on the star: One Christmas night, so long ago. A star shone down so all would know That in a manger, on that night. A savior was born, our guiding light! Now Christmas time is almost here A very special time of year. When everyone anticipates That night we can celebrate! As you remove a link each night Remember the star that shone so bright And told the world of Jesus' birth The Son of God, here on earth! Now hang it up and starting Dec 1 remove a link a day.

Here is a simple craft with little prep work to keep your kids busy while you are getting for Thanksgiving. You will need: scarecrow coloring sheet, crayons or markers, glue, small squares of fabric and wiggly eyes (optional). Have your child color the sheet. Then glue on eyes and fabric squares for patches.

Hello everyone, it is the weekend again, so I can not wait to see all your great kid's projects. The projects can be a kid's craft, recipe, game or anything fun you can do with your kids. It is always fun seeing what everyone links.

We made these cute turkey dinners. Last year we made a Turkey Feast, so I thought this would be a fun change. (Check out the feast, it is super cute) We used: Paper plate, small paper bag, green and yellow tissue paper, cotton balls, yellow construction paper, clear tape, newspaper and glue. Just stuff the paper bag with newspaper, twist the end and secure with tape. Place on paper plate. Glue on cotton balls and glue on a square of yellow construction paper for the mashed potatoes and butter. Cut small pieces yellow and green tissue paper and roll in balls. Glue on to the plate for the corn and peas.

Here is a fun, quick and good smelling craft. Make a slice of Pumpkin Pie. We used: A paper plate, brown and orange paint, paint brush, cinnamon, cotton balls and scissors. I cut the paper plate into 1/4s. And combined some orange and brown paint to look like Pumpkin pie. Cheyanne painted the 1/4 of the plate. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle on the cinnamon and put the cotton balls on top to look like whipped cream. Now you have you pumpkin pie.

Here is yet another Indian corn project. This is a good project for the younger kids. We used:White paper, brown, red, orange and yellow paint, scissors, stapler and paper bag. Make different colored finger prints all over the paper. Allow time for the paint to dry. Cut out a corn shape and stapler the paper bag to the top. I made a wreath with the corn and turkey hand prints. It looks better in person.

This is a fun project, even for older kids. When was the last time one of your older kids finger painted? It is fun to watch them, My 8 year old just dotted it at first. I had to tell her it was o.k. to spear it all around and get messy. Cheyanne and Caity loved finger painting the feathers. We used: Paper plates or white paper, different colored paints, scissors, brown, yellow and red construction paper, and wiggly eyes. Finger paint the plate or paper. Allow time to dry or put in microwave at 25 second intervals until dry. If using paper, cut out feather shapes. Glue the feathers on another sheet of paper in a half circle pattern. Glue on head and decorate the face.

Here is an easy way to decorate all the lamps in your house. It is easy, cheap and looks great. You will need: scissors, tape and black and white Thanksgiving Clip Art. Cut out the Clip Art pictures and tape them to the inside of your lamps. You are done.

I think this is a great way to use coffee filter turkeys in a different and decorative way. They make a great wreath for a door. And if you do not want to wait for the filters to dry, use the microwave to dry them. We used: coffee filters, markers, construction paper, glue, wiggly eyes, and a squirt bottle. Color the coffee filters with markers. Lightly mist the filters to blend the colors. Place them in the microwave in 25 second intervals until they are dry or let air dry. Cut out turkey heads and glue on to the filters. Decorate the faces. Tape on a door in a circle. Add a ribbon and construction paper that says," Happy Thanksgiving."
