Daisy Cupcakes

I made these daisy cupcakes for my daughter's Daisy troop. I just love how they turned out. I found the idea on Family Fun.

To make these we used cupcakes, white frosting, yellow food coloring, large marshmallows, gumdrops, kitchen shears and a frosting spreader.

Mix the yellow food coloring with the white frosting. Frost the cupcakes.

Place a gumdrop to the center of each cupcake.

To make the petals, set a large marshmallow on it's side, press flat with your palm. Then cut it in 1/3 s with kitchen shears. Repeat. Approx. 6 petals per flower.

I found using the store brand marshmallow worked better the name brand marshmallows. The name brand would get holes in them.

We also made a bridge since the girls were bridging from Daisy's to Brownies.

We used a card table with the legs pointing up, a sturdy plastic container for the step and covered it with a plastic table cloth. The girls got a big kick crossing the bridge.

Congratulations Caity !!!!
