I am so excited to have discovered your blog. Another blogger directed me to you! I have a 2 year old daughter. (Well, she turns two in 2 weeks.) Anyway, I have been trying to do daily craft time with her. I am so excited to get some ideas and inspiration from you!! I need lots of inspiration! I grabbed your button for my sidebar. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
I love this project it is so easy and only takes a short amount of prep time. Cheyanne loves making the volcano erupt. We used: plastic plate, plastic cup, aluminium foil, tape, vinegar, baking soda and red food coloring. Tape the bottom of the cup to the center of the plate. Cover with aluminium foil. Cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down in the cup. Spoon in some baking soda. Pour in the vinegar. Watch it erupt.
This is a great craft for even young children. I think it turned out so cute. You will need: Red, yellow and orange paint, scissors, toilet paper roll, and green construction paper (or card stock). Cut the green paper into the shape of the tree top. Use fingerprints dipped in the paint as Fall leaves. Cut 2 slits down, across from each other on the toilet paper roll. Slide tree top into those slits.
Scribbit's Winter Bazaar Rocks in My Dryers , Works For Me Wednesday When my daughter was learning to read, we started a book chain. Every time she read a book we added a link. She was so excited to see her chain grow. It eventually went around her room. She was always so proud. Colton is starting to read books, so we started his book chain today. He too was excited to add his links. I thought I would share this, maybe it will encourage you little ones to read. I am always looking for ways to encourage my kids to read, do you have any tips that you use? If so please let me know.
