Sun Chaser Jack O'Lantern

Caity has gotten to the age where she can come up and do crafts on her own. Today she did a Jack O' Lantern sun chaser.
She used: wax paper,crayons, grader, scissors and an iron.
She shaved all the crayons herself.
Then she created her Jack O Lantern on a piece of wax paper.
She then placed another piece of wax paper on top.

Put 2 paper towels on top of the wax paper. Now iron on top and bottom to melt crayon shavings.

Do the ironing in short increments or the face will become very distorted. Finally cut around the pumpkin to make it's shape.

My kids made these in the shape of hearts for valentines day. Super cute! Just a tip dont hang it in a very sunny window or the wax will melt again and drip all over your window sill :(

Super Easy Volcanos

I love this project it is so easy and only takes a short amount of prep time. Cheyanne loves making the volcano erupt. We used: plastic plate, plastic cup, aluminium foil, tape, vinegar, baking soda and red food coloring. Tape the bottom of the cup to the center of the plate. Cover with aluminium foil. Cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down in the cup. Spoon in some baking soda. Pour in the vinegar. Watch it erupt.
