Tomorrow I am helping with Colton's fall party and I am in charge of a craft. We are going to make wiggly bats and spiders. To make them all you need is black paper, scissors, glue stick, wiggly eyes, craft stick and a white crayon. For the spider, trace the hands on the black paper and cut them out. Cut off the thumbs, since spiders have 8 legs. Glue the hands on the stick and add the eyes. For the bat, leave the thumbs and cut out a circle and 2 small triangles for the ears.

Cheyanne and I made this cute pop up ghost today. You will need: A plastic cup, plastic grocery bag, string, black marker, scissors, craft stick (tongue depressor or straw) and materials for decorating the cup. Decorate the cup. To decorate the cup, we glued on Halloween foam pieces. I made a ghost with a tongue depressor, plastic grocery bag, string and a black marker. I think I straw would work the best, it would make a smoother up and down movement. Cut a hole in the bottom of the cup and put the bottom of the stick through the hole. Pop up. Pull down.

This is a great game. It is fun to play and cheap and easy to make. All you need is a plastic pumpkin, ping pong balls and markers. Color the ping pong balls to look like eyes. Now the game is ready to play. To play, try to bounce the balls into the pumpkin . Also Leigh and Britton asked what was hanging from my chandelier that they saw in one of my pictures. It was a ghost made from plastic grocery bags.

Here is a simple and not spooky decoration that is easy to make. Materials needed: Paper plate, white crepe paper, construction paper, glue, marker and optional things are ribbon for the tie and pipe stem cleaner for a hanger. Cut out a hat. Decorate a ghost face on the plate. Cut and then glue crepe paper to the back of the plate. Glue on pipe stem cleaner for hanger.

Cody won 1 st place in his Boyscout troop's Raingutter Regatta. For those who are not familiar with the Boyscouts, this is a big deal. Every year the boys (and Dads) a build boat and race them. Last year Cody and Quinn did not do that great, so this year they were determined to win. After a lot of thought and building, they came up with a great design and won. Cody and Quinn could not be any more proud and either could I. GOOD JOB GUYS!!!! This is totally off topic, but am I the only person who dislikes negative comments (especially anonymous ones) ? Do you get them, and how do you handle them ? I know I should just ignore them and delete them, but that is very hard for me.

One thing I love about helping out in my son's class is all the great ideas I get to see. I love this this idea, it is a different way to get a leaf print. It is fun, easy and smells great. It uses Kool-Aid or Gelatin powder to make the print. To do these great prints you will need: Jello or Kool-Aid powder (any brand will do), leaves (they can't be dry and crumbly), glue, paint brush and paper. First, paint the leaf on the vein side. Press the glue side down firmly on to the paper. Peel leaf from the paper. Sprinkle the powder on to the glue print. Dump off access. And here is your print. This is Caity's print.

This is an easy craft for older kids (and big kids like me) to do. I started making the pumpkins and thought this would be a great way to make turkeys too. The best thing about this craft is that not very many materials are needed. Materials needed: Construction paper, scissors, glue and a stapler. Cut the orange or brown paper into equal sized strips. I used 4 strips about an inch thick. Staple in a circle. And keep stapling circles to form a ball. Decorate the pumpkin with a face, leaf and stem. Caity glued her's to a piece of paper and decorated a pumpkin patch. For the turkey form the ball and glue on a head, feathers and wings. I had to glue it to a piece of paper because the feathers made it tip back.

Since we rarely ever use our formal dining room, I find it a great place to display all our crafts. I love this table center piece that you can use during the day or night. All you need is some washed out milk jugs, a craft knife, paint and or markers and a string of Christmas lights. For th Jack-O-Lateran, you first need to cut out the face and a hole in the back for the lights. Then paint. For the ghost all you need is to cut a hole in the back and draw on a ghost face with a marker. Because they are plactic, they also can be used outside to decorate a porch or walk way.
