Halloween Table Decorations

The girls and I made place card holders and napkin rings for a festive Halloween table.



We used construction paper, glue, scissors, paint, paint brushes, toilet paper roll and clothes pins.








First, we painted the toilet paper rolls. Allow the to dry.
Cut them into 3 equal sections for the napkin rings.
Cut out pumpkin and ghost shapes and decorate.








Glue the pumpkin or ghost to the toilet paper roll.










Glue the ghost or pumpkin to the clothes pin.

Super Easy Volcanos

I love this project it is so easy and only takes a short amount of prep time. Cheyanne loves making the volcano erupt. We used: plastic plate, plastic cup, aluminium foil, tape, vinegar, baking soda and red food coloring. Tape the bottom of the cup to the center of the plate. Cover with aluminium foil. Cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down in the cup. Spoon in some baking soda. Pour in the vinegar. Watch it erupt.

Cricket Craft

Here is another repost, we are doing bugs at preschool, so this fits right into what we are doing. I found this cute craft on the Better Homes and Garden website. My kids saw it and could not wait to make it (because it is a bug). I made some modifications to it to make it a little easier for younger kids. Do not be scared of the paint because you do not have to use it. I know paint can be messy. You will need toilet paper roll, scissors, glue, pom-poms, paint or markers or green construction paper for the body (to make the toilet paper roll green), wiggly eyes, chenille stems, green foam sheet or construction paper and a pencil. Have the kids paint the toilet paper roll green. OR you can have them color it with a marker OR just wrap it in green construction paper and glue it.
