Cody Won 1st Place !!!!!!

Cody won 1 st place in his Boyscout troop's Raingutter Regatta. For those who are not familiar with the Boyscouts, this is a big deal. Every year the boys (and Dads) a build boat and race them. Last year Cody and Quinn did not do that great, so this year they were determined to win. After a lot of thought and building, they came up with a great design and won. Cody and Quinn could not be any more proud and either could I.

This is totally off topic, but am I the only person who dislikes negative comments (especially anonymous ones) ? Do you get them, and how do you handle them ?
I know I should just ignore them and delete them, but that is very hard for me.

Why would anyone leave you a negative comment? I love your crafts and your ideas. I use them all the time with my daughter. I password protect mine so that I don't get unwanted readers!

Look through the different commenting options. I think that there is a way to keep people from leaving anonymous comments.

I know I should suggest you just ignore them etc... But let's face it...words hurt!

Sorry your feelings were hurt. Thanks for all the fun ideas!

Yeah Cody and Quinn. That's quite a trophy!
I've had a few weird comments that I delete when I see them. I figure anyone doing that is just going around leaving comments to get a rise out of people. You certainly haven't done anything to deserve it, so I would just think of it as them having a problem!

i've never gotten negative comments but have a friends who has. She totally didn't ignore it, in fact, she handled it quite well and acknowledged it with a response:)

Congrats to your son!! awesome!!

We just had our Raingutter Regatta as well. It was fun even though neither of my boys won either.

As far as the negative comments go, especially if they are anonymous, just delete them and let it roll off your back. I know that is easier said than done, but it is pointless to dwell because if they were lame enough to make it anonymous and not even make it possible for you to respond then they don't deserve your emotional energy.

You have an awesome blog! I don't even see how someone could write something negative to you. I have done some of your crafts with my boys for our homeschool and they LOVE it! In fact, you are my arts and crafts resource page. :)

Congrats Cody! That's awesome!

I agree that you should delete the negative comments. You have an awesome blog and from what I see, I'm not the only one who feels that way. I can tell that you put a lot of time in what you do and I for one am thankful that you do. I really do appreciate all of your wonderful ideas! Thank You So Much:)

Way to go Cody!!!!! I'm so happy for him!

Why would someone leave you negative comments??? You and your blog are WONDERFUL. You are helping parents create crafts (and memories!) with their kids.

If someone is leaving a negative comment, it can only be because they are a little jealous or just bored.

I say delete them and keep crafting!

We love you!

I have gotten some really negative comments as well. You could "approve" your comments before they get posted. I have not done this yet. I figure I just let people post what they want. They obviously have nothing better to do then to intentionally hurt your feelings. I would just delete them if you want otherwise, just ignore them. They just want you to give them a response back, so I always choose to ignore them!
