Photo Hunters - Theme - Long

The Photo Hunters theme is long.
Last year we had a long move. We moved from Montana to North Carolina. I drove my vehicle with 4 young kids and 2 dogs in my vehicle, while my husband drove a moving truck. Trust me it was a very long, long trip. " Are we there yet!"

Old Faithful in Yellowstone (Mt and Wyoming). It goes a very long ways up.
Us driving a very long way.We went to the N.C. Zoo to see a long necked Giraffe.

Good take on the theme. I love your photographs from your long trip. I live in NC and used to take my daughter to the Asheboro zoo when she was growing up. It's about 2 hours from where I live. I may have seen that same giraffe at some point. Have a great weekend.

I was in N.C. this morning at the airport in Charlotte. I didn't get to Old Faithful, I took the turn to another road. Nice photos.

Wow ! that was indeed a long way ! I remember we drove this with my aunt and uncle from Madison/Wisc over Montana North Dakota South Dakota until Arizon ! and we visited the Old Faithful of course. This was in 1971 and there was no airconditioning in the car and no European tourists !! We were the only once (but invited by my American aunt)

Super Easy Volcanos

I love this project it is so easy and only takes a short amount of prep time. Cheyanne loves making the volcano erupt. We used: plastic plate, plastic cup, aluminium foil, tape, vinegar, baking soda and red food coloring. Tape the bottom of the cup to the center of the plate. Cover with aluminium foil. Cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down in the cup. Spoon in some baking soda. Pour in the vinegar. Watch it erupt.

Here is another repost, we are doing bugs at preschool, so this fits right into what we are doing. I found this cute craft on the Better Homes and Garden website. My kids saw it and could not wait to make it (because it is a bug). I made some modifications to it to make it a little easier for younger kids. Do not be scared of the paint because you do not have to use it. I know paint can be messy. You will need toilet paper roll, scissors, glue, pom-poms, paint or markers or green construction paper for the body (to make the toilet paper roll green), wiggly eyes, chenille stems, green foam sheet or construction paper and a pencil. Have the kids paint the toilet paper roll green. OR you can have them color it with a marker OR just wrap it in green construction paper and glue it. While the paint is drying, I get all the pieces set up to glue on. I used foam sheets to cut out legs but construction paper will work too. For the nose, I cut a triangle out of craft ...
