Bread Basket Turkey ?


Yes, I think my bread basket turkey looks a little weird. But my kids truly enjoyed decorating the tail feathers. With different colors, it would look more like a thanksgiving decoration. But
if you are interested in making it here are the supplies:
Body- shoe box wrapped in a paper bag
Head- paper plate, construction paper (eyes), marker for the beak and felt for the gobbler.
Wings- paper plate covered with construction paper
Feather- any thing in your craft supplies, let the kids go wild. The wings are glued on paper plates, then glued to the shoe box. I think if you used scrapbook paper for feathers, that would look good too.

This one looks a little odd. Perhaps it is the pastel feathers that make it look like something that should be at a baby shower. However, if your kids had fun decorating the feathers then that's all that matters1

I love this project it is so easy and only takes a short amount of prep time. Cheyanne loves making the volcano erupt. We used: plastic plate, plastic cup, aluminium foil, tape, vinegar, baking soda and red food coloring. Tape the bottom of the cup to the center of the plate. Cover with aluminium foil. Cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down in the cup. Spoon in some baking soda. Pour in the vinegar. Watch it erupt.
